FASTEX Textile Ink 1L Jar Ochre
Description:
FASTEX Textile Ink is a fabric ink that is heat set. It is a non toxic ink that will be colourfast, dry cleanable & wash resistant when applied correctly. Application can be by brush or screen printing stencil and is suitable to be used on most fabrics (it is advised to test patch on synthetic fabrics & wool first as results may be variable on some synthetic material).
Once design has been applied allow to air dry then heat set with iron on the reverse side for 3 to 5 minutes (at a setting appropriate for the fabric). Once heat set fabric can be washed in usual way.
Results may be better if design is applied with two thin coats instead of one thick coat. Though ink can be thinned with water it is advised to use the FASTEX Textile Ink Extender Medium (see other listings) which when used can reduce the depth of colour without reducing the light fastness which thinning with water can do.
FASTEX Textile Ink offers a large range of colours that are intermixable allowing a greater choice of colour. It is used for painting or printing permanent designs onto fabric & is suitable for use on clothing, tee-shirts, pillowcases, duvets, hats, cushions, curtains & most fabric items.
FASTEX Textile Ink is a permanent fabric ink that will stain if not washed immediately with soap & water, it is advised to wear a protected jacket or smock when applying design to fabric. Wash all equipment and work surfaces after use to prevent permanent staining.
